The third part of our Mission and Purpose statement is "...Serve the World!" Not only is it important to grow in our relationship with Christ, but as we grow, we follow Jesus' example by serving others. Jesus declared in scripture that he did not come to be served but to serve others. If we love God, we must love people. If we love people, we must serve. Here at WBC, there are many opportunities to serve.

God is the source of all blessings, temporal and spiritual; all that we have and are we owe to Him. Christians have a spiritual debtorship to the whole world, a holy trusteeship in the gospel, and are compelled, by scripture, to serve others and live generously because of the love God has shown all people. As believers, we serve God with our time, talents, and material possessions and recognize all these are entrusted to us to use for the glory of God and for helping others. According to the Bible, believers should contribute of all of their resources cheerfully, regularly, systematically, proportionately and liberally for the purpose of sharing God's love to all peoples.
At WBC we encourage all of our members to be involved in some area of ministry. Church membership is more than just coming to worship and and having one's name on a church roll. It's about loving and serving God by loving and serving others. We do this through various ministries of the church.
